Walkers in the Peak District have been taken aback to find a sign at Lamaload Reservoir announcing that the car park is to be closed until November.  We have been told that the National Park authorities have been concerned by vandalism and by use of the car park for parties and have decided to close the car park for the whole of the summer season.  Fortunately there is enough room for walkers to park in the lay-by.
