324 Winster

Hidden behind Birchover's Druid Inn is a magical place - a fascinating warren of caves and tunnels carved in solid gritstone known as Rowter Rocks. Neighbouring Winster too demands exploration with some magnificent old houses, while its ancient Market House was the first NT property in Derbyshire. And even Clough Wood conceals a secret, for among the trees lurk the remains of Old Mill Close Mine, once the richest lead mine in Britain.
