517 Rivington Pike and Winter Hill

Starting half way up Winter Hill may seem like cheating, but the easy stroll through Wilderswood and along Georges Lane has such a magnificent outlook that it shouldn't be missed. Rivington Pike offers more superb vistas before the boggy ascent of Winter Hill reveals whether your boots are still waterproof. In contrast the descent over Smithills Moor is delightfully dry with views, views and more views all the way, so be sure and pick a fine day.
