639 Bride Stones

There aren't many things these days for which you can be turned to stone. But in the Middle Ages it was different. Back then even a minor transgression resulted in an entire wedding party being converted into solid rock. At least, that's said to be the origin of the Bride Stones, high on the moors above Todmorden.
