679 Tushingham

Everyone has heard of the Pennine Way and Wainwright's Coast to Coast and many places have their own Official Walks, such as the Delamere Way, but at Tushingham they have really gone to town, for here you will encounter no less than five Official Trails. Yet for most of this walk through lovely countryside we found ourselves in splendid isolation. We had begun to think we were Tushingham's only walkers then fortunately, just at the right moment, a couple emerged from the undergrowth to direct us to the hidden stile near Wolvesacre Mill.
