696 Naden Brook, Heywood

"Red and yellow and pink and green, purple and orange and blue - I can sing a rainbow", goes the children's song. Well, perhaps not pink, but in the wooded ravines of Naden and Cheesden Brooks there's truly a rainbow of autumn colours. Could it be as good at other times we wondered then returning in Spring we found the woods full of garlic scented ramsons plus a glorious swathe of bluebells, but whatever the season, this is a lovely walk.
