884 Wrenbury

Serenaded by Wrenbury's church bells we set off beside the Llangollen Canal. Tortoiseshell butterflies and brilliant blue damselflies basked in the sun, while narrowboats chugged past. The return through the picturesque village of Marbury follows the South Cheshire Way over fields full of horses all safely behind fences and looking hopefully at passing walkers. If the weather has been wet for a long time the fields can be rather muddy in the gateways, so it's best to choose a dry spell for your visit.
